2020 may have thrown us for a loop, but that only made for interesting trends to fit our new lifestyles. When we thought we didn’t know what to do, we got creative. We want faster and smarter livable luxury, outdoor-indoor aesthetics, and a room filled with mixtures of eras.
Why do we want these things? Because it is impossible not to crave and desire the luxuries of this unmoored world, but also impossible not to miss the experiences and connections that once were a part of our lives. We believe the home décor trends of 2021 will give you the best of both worlds.
This year will be us taking different approaches to achieve the same goal; steadiness, hopefulness, and strength. People express those qualities in different ways and it will be compelling and exhilarating to see which approach homeowners and businesses will take.
This post will guide us through electrifying hues that express upbeat and fast-paced lifestyles, natural minerals and fibers that contribute to peaceful and nostalgic spaces, and so much more.
The meaning of color this time around has more of an emotional twist to it. We’ve had to gravitate toward the essentials for basic fulfillment. It all comes back to connecting to that part of you that needs to be most inspired and using something as fundamental as a color palette to jump start hope or expectation.
Invigorating yellows, purples, and teals express desire, aspirations and anticipation. They symbolize the quickness of the world, the tangibility of all things, and — most importantly — optimism. These tones are typically accent colors and seasonal hues that we are used to seeing only occasionally. But they are now standing strong, giving us something to look forward to with their intense pigmentation.

Last year was about bringing the outdoors indoors with all sorts of saturated green hues. This year is more about the concept of nature.
Nature is nurturing, forgiving, gentle, and calming. We are now combining the aesthetics of nature with organic looks and textures to feel comfortable and refreshed in our homes.

The color palette of this theme is crisp whites, taupes, and hints of saturated siennas, burnt umbers, and greens. Nice coordinating colors are aquas and mint greens. This design scheme could even lean toward the nautical theme without diving too deep into it.
Reassurance of well-being and health is the goal. What better way to feel safe and stress-free than the very place you treasure, your home!
Many of us have modified our homes to the “less is more” concept, which is great and it has helped us open up our spaces. However, within that design we are lacking the one thing we all love: the luxury of design and being fascinated with details.
One way of adding versatility to a modern home is to incorporate wood or metal drapery hardware that has more of a traditional look. Or if you are looking to add a touch of modern, adding roller shades to your window would go a long way.
